Now Jesus Said Lyrics
1. Now Jesus said, We’ll bake some bread,
So bring me flour and water.
Then bring me salt and bring me yeast,
I’ll bake for you a splendid feast,
and we will join and drink a toast to friendship ever after.
2. They found the flour they found the salt,
They found a jug of water,
But, though they searched around the town,
An ounce of yeast could not be found.
They came to him with eyes cast down,
And told Him of their failure.
3. Then Jesus said, “Do not be sad,
We’ll mix the flour and the water and though’ we bake unleavened bread,
If you will be the yeast instead,
The bread will rise up from the dead,
And feed you ever after.”
